Muzak Love Tokyo is the prototype for a building to be autonomously deployed throughout cities in key markets. MLT seduces the consumer through stealth. Upon closer inspection, a blank concrete box reveals a matrix of headphone jacks. Intrigued by the lack of overt salesmanship, a complete shock in Tokyo, the consumer unplugs her Sony headphones and inserts the plug into a random jack. Is it Nina Simone on the Destinations channel or is it Roni Size on the Metro channel? Maybe Van Halen or Einsturzende Neubauten? Muzak, she realizes, is audio architecture and, using her 3G phone, orders up a program fitting her lifestyle for the rest of her walk home.
